Topics	The Carl Stalling Project, Volume I: Carl W. Stalling wurde am 10. November 1891 im amerikanischen Lexington in Missouri geboren. Seine musikalische Ausbildung begann er als 6jähriger am Klavier. Im Alter von 12 Jahren begleitete er bereits Stummfilme im Kino seiner Heimatstadt. Diese Affinität baute er aus und spielte mit Anfang 20 im legendären Isis Movie Theatre in Kansas City. Dort lernte er Walt Disney kennen, zu dessen ersten Cartoons er die Scores komponierte. 1936 nahm ihn Leon Schlesinger für Warner Bros. unter Vertrag. Stallings Arbeiten aus dieser Zeit machten ihn als Komponisten unsterblich; u.a. schuf er die Melodien zur heute noch populären Cartoon-Reihe Looney Tunes... That's all Folks!
